Cupps Farms of Shell Knob, Mo is Offering 65# Black And Black/White-Face Show-Me Select Bred Heifers These docile, moderate, easy fleshing females were initially selected for their maternal characteristics and have been developed on a fescue based rotational grazing system. They were all synchronized before breeding using the CIDR system and 40# were ultrasounded AI safe to some of the most prominent heifer bulls in the Angus breed (HARB Pendleton and Mytty In Focus). The heifers carrying this AI service were bred to calve the third week of February. The remaining 25# were clean-up bred by bulls from extremely well respected seedstock programs (Clearwater, Valley View, and Pitts) and will calve between March 6th and April 22nd. All are accustomed to single wire electric fencing, multiple wateror types, and various working facilities. They are comfortable around stock dogs yet are used to being moved by Calling. After breeding they were commingled with a select group of calving mature cows to increase their mothering acuity and from a vaccination/health standpoint theyve had the works. They will be grouped in uniform lots from 1# to 12# head and sold at the Fall Southwest, Mo Show-Me Select Heifer Sale – 7:00p.m. November 20th at Joplin Regional Stockyards.
